Hey Girl...

Hey Girl, Yes you!
Tell me how you doing in life?

Remember that essay you wrote in class five

The classic what if ...and your lovely page three
It contained an ocean, in just words two fifty (250)

Each one of us in a class of thirty

wanted to do something beyond call of duty
There was a terrific scientist, a super human doctor
Also, a confused I wanna make papa happy engineering star!

We dreamed, we wrote,

Then we settled with our autonomous roles.

Thought, that was essay to please the teacher,

It was about scores. Few remarks in yellow report card.

That essay, nope! wasn't me

Settled she called, this is my journey
Cook, feed and her availability

Said she, "I will be less for someone to be More"

Some or the other way, few of us scaled

And became.. what we ought to got to be

This is for my friend, whom I lost

Who could not be, what she thought she would be

Disturbed, I wondered

All those essays that I doted way back when we were twelve year old

Who came in between?

Why the words look so hollow, so empty
Dare you not call this fate and destiny

I ponder,

what if all that we wrote had we achieved somehow!!
Would the world map looked little different than it is now ?

We all want some roof, some bread, and some stability

But look at the price the twelve year old dreams pay!
To earn this security

Irony! I am in..

We all started together, why we could not finish together?

Hey Girl, I wanna ask

Have you heard the word .. Restart!

For All you teaching your four five year old,

They will achieve a bit More,
...if they see you achieve what you wrote in your respective stories

Let that essay writing not die an unnatural death

My sweetheart, My darling

Life is asking, same old question

Have you Claimed, Your position ?

Happiness is 60 rupees a kg!

On the way, under a small tree
An Old man, A guava seller

60 rupees per kg, he says with his soft voice.
I am a regular buyer, I guess his favorite too
For more than six months, I am buying guava from you.

One Sunday, i pulled my little joy to choose guavas, which is her favorite too
He let her play with the entire basket and pick the ones, one by one
Its tough to satisfy a three year old.
Patiently they spoke, "this one kaka! that one is too big"
I was surprised, as my little one is not easy to talk

This transaction was 10 min long.
Finally with her favorite color guavas, we came home!

The next visit was two weeks later!
I got caught up with odd and even

As I arrived, he asked
"How is your baby? You didn't come two weeks didi?"

Made an excuse, and bought one kg which carries 6 guavas in one go
He waited and added four more!

It was getting dark. I thought he is finishing his stock.
"Need only a Kg", said I
........."This is for the gudiya; Didi and its free...."

I was stone cold!
A old guava seller, under small tree on kharadi main road in Pune.
Must be making 250 rupees a day
Gave four guavas roughly worth 50 rupees for free
For my little one...
World is Crazy!

With endless greed
we miss the point
Of life,
The importance of living under a tree

Happiness is Oh! so fresh and 60 rupees a Kg !!

The first is always Special!

In the corridors of love and romance,
I am new

So its a good idea to first introduce You!

You had those glazing eyes that I noticed at first,
And rawness of those rather rough draft which rarely one preserves.

You were struck with my smile, I in your words,
Thought I, you were my first Love!

Beauty has time and some destiny,
You though somehow became my past, present and History.

To you is to me
In my reflection, I see you!
From here on
.. the corridors of love and romance
Will be forever new! Will be forever You...
